Every conversation currently is about AI. Buy this tool, ship faster, win. The perception gap between marketing and reality is vast. We are told to navigate the wild-west of experimentation to find our future tools.

But there is a fundamental mismatch between what AI promises and what most engineering organisations are structured to receive.

Familiar Ground

You read the benchmarks. An AI-native IDE like Cursor increases daily Pull Request throughput by 46%. You see the demos where an engineer scaffolds an entire microservice in three minutes. You look at your own roadmap, which is six months behind, and you calculate the math.

So you buy the licenses. You roll them out. Your developers celebrate. They start scaffolding microservices in three minutes. They open Pull Requests faster than ever before.
